We saw Heather's work in New York about 5 years ago. I was intrigued by a large photo of a charm bracelet she had made. It had names of ponies I had seen at the Pony Finals in Lexington, Kentucky. I instantly fell in love with Heather, the collection, and the timeless feel of the recycled gold and silver.   

When I started my necklace I chose charms to celebrate my family and my passions. This gold framed charm with a horseshoe celebrates the birth of my first foal, Sky King and his mother Hope. This year I added a black diamond Harriet stone (which is my birthstone) to the 3 beveled diamonds which represents each of my daughters. The open circle has my granddaughters names and birth dates. I never take it off and love that it is constantly evolving.

I love a monogram, but also wanted my baby's name and birthdate on a charm so I decided to double frame the piece so I could wear it either way.  Henry's monogram (HTB, on other side) has since been changed to mean Henry the baby, since this was what one of my friends had thought I was referring to when I used his initials in an email.   

Family has always been very important to me and naturally was at the forefront of my mind when I got married and changed my name.  I wanted a piece that would celebrate my new identity but also highlight and honor all of the pieces of my heritage that came before.  I created a crossword with all of the names on both sides of my family, starting with my new last name and going back on both my mother's and fathers sides to my great great grandparents.

Lauren's personal Heather Moore collection

I came across this passage from Herman Hesse's book Siddhartha and found its' message powerful and hopeful.  In the book Hesse has Buddha saying these words, "Three things cannot be hidden for long; the moon, the sun, and the truth."  I believe in life the important things will be revealed to you and this wisdom is something that is impossible to hide from even if you try to avoid reality.  To me Hesse and Buddha are saying live with your eyes open for the full experience.  It's not always easy, so I wanted a daily reminder!  The inner stamping of my bracelet reads, "Stillness Speaks". This is something my mother has said to me many times.  When I put it into practice I am always grateful for the results!

Meg Bishop

Meg's personal Heather Moore collection. 

Stamped on the front Meg has the three places she has called home & a compass with a diamond in the center.

On the back side is a latin quote that her grandfather would always say to her as a young girl. The translation is, "In matters of taste, there can be no disputes." The implication is that everyone's personal preferences are merely subjective opinions that cannot be right or wrong, so they should

 never be argued as if they were.

Coming from two places, Elly wanted to keep them both close to her. On this side of the ID tag she has the coordinates of her maternal family's home in Lake Tahoe, with a mountain and North Star. On the other side, not depicted,she has love in Brail and the coordinates of her paternal family's home in Paris.

This charm is honoring Shannon's family heritage. When Shannon was 13 she went to Ireland with her grandmother to re-trace their ancestry. Stamped on the frame are the coordinates of their original village in Country Cork Ireland.

This phrase is from a letter that her Dad wrote her when she graduated from
high school. Heather Moore scanned the letter and made a custom stamp.  

These are her dads initials.
